This is a review for the hard copy, but it is the same book and I'd hate for those who count on reviews to miss out.

The author bares her life and soul for all to see with such raw openness, yet manages to balance intellect with deep passion. Check it out, you won't regret it!
Life and Struggles A Unique Collection of Poetry is aptly titled, and Hawkins-Wilson is a highly skilled and candid writer. While this collection is well written and takes the reader on a roller coaster ride of emotions, what I wish it had are concluding poems of maturity and hope that come with wisdom gained. I suspect her next volume will contain such work, and I look forward to feasting on more from her.
Take a second and marinate on the title Life and Struggles. It is something we can all relate to with empathy and full understanding. Life and Struggles is a collection of 67 unique poems. The poems spoke to me, comforted me, reminded me of life experiences, and took me on a journey of emotions. The author bared her soul through words. Lasting impressions, pieces of milk chocolate, longing for pleasure, gratification, surrender, hate, shame, confirmation, control and lust are just some of the feelings expressed in the poems. Oh, I had plenty moments of "Yasssss!"
It is definitely a collection I will read again when poems are relevant to a situation I am going through. It helps to know someone else has experienced similar struggles and feelings. I thank Cassandra for writing this collection of poetry and am proud of her achievement. She put feelings to paper and shared it with readers. Well done!

This book is just a collection of other author's works. She also makes her fellow students at jsums.edu taking class ENG-399 to buy this book. During the course the students only used this book once for an assignment she ask us to read. All in all she just want to make a quick buck...
It's as if I can feel the author when I read the words in this poetry book. I LOVE IT!!!
I've read this book a number of times and each time brings about a different perspective. It's very enjoyable and relative to everyday situations. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has gone through a series of changes within their life.
